Our Purpose
Our Mission
To honor the transformative work of Mr. Don Sadofsky by expanding access to high-quality music education for youth through scholarships, instrument donations, free community-based jazz camps in Chicago parks, private lessons support, and classroom project and professional development grants for Kâ12 music teachers. In addition, the foundation is committed to actively celebrating and sustaining the ongoing legacy of Mr. Sadofsky by supporting the continued success of the ensembles, traditions, and educational pathways he helped create, especially through his decades of service with the Chicago Park District and the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools, ensuring his contributions continue to impact generations to come.
Our Vision
We envision a Chicago where every young person has access to high-quality music instruction, where music educators are recognized and supported throughout their careers, and where the power of music is used to build community, cultivate identity, and create lifelong opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom.
